After more than 10 years of restoration, the site's Main Temple Hall area comprising the most important works covering over 1,600 square metres, opened at the beginning of April, attracting thousands of visitors. The 105 th Cargill Cares school is located in the province’s remote mountainous Muong Lat District which has an underprivileged and largely ethnic minority population, where the pre-existing school had been requiring urgent repair and expansion. No access to electricity, heating or cooling in an area prone to sub-zero winters, and absence of administrative support like clean washrooms, insufficient infrastructure, and poor accessibility, often made just getting to school a daily challenge for students and faculty alike. Quang Chieu No. 1 Elementary School Muong Lat is known to be among the poorest areas in one of Vietnam’s poorest provinces, with the disaster prone region seeing a poverty rate over 17 times higher than the provincial average. Deputy defense minister visits Military Hospital 175

Nguyen Thi Oanh is the current forerunner of Vietnamese athletics. In SEA Games 2017, she clinched the double gold medal in the 800-meter and 1,500-meter distances and helped Vietnam dominate these categories ever since. In SEA Games 2019, she successfully defended her gold medals in these two events, and scored another in the 3,000-meter hurdle race. Last week, the Vietnam News Agency reported a large number of land partition applications were received by southern Tay Ninh Province's Department of Natural Resources and Environment. Duo served death for transporting 100 kilos of meth
The court in central Nghe An Province on Friday handed out the sentence to Giang Seo Hoa, 33, and Vang Seo Su, 25, both residing in the province, for "illegally transporting narcotic substances." According to the verdict, on Jan. 17 last year, Hoa called Su on the phone to talk Su into a business of transporting meth from Nghe An to northern Lao Cai Province that borders China. The payment for the trip would be VND500 million. Hoa offered Su VND450 million. Su accepted the deal. After receiving VND30 million in advance, Su drove a car to an address in Nghe An’s Thanh Chuong District to pick up the meth, as instructed by Hoa. After receiving the drugs packed in six backpacks, Su drove away and was caught red-handed by police. In those backpacks, police seized a total 111 kilos of meth. The main characteristic of such projects is that both private investors and public authorities share the risks and responsibilities in construction and operation. The public sector typically contributes only a small portion to these projects, with the private sector still in charge of construction and operation. The risks of these projects typically involve the phases of selection, approval, design, construction, financing, operation, and management phases. Over the years, Vietnam issued several decrees before the new Law on Public-Private Partnership Investment was promulgated in 2020 and took effect from January 2021.
