Students presently study basic English in primary school; but they then move on to junior and senior high school, where the curriculum repeats beginning-level English. Such a reiteration is non-pedagogically sound and tends to limit students’ English skills, said the report. The Ministry of Education and Training defines English in primary school as an optional subject with two periods a week. Strong inflow of FDI forecast to continue The strong flow of foreign direct Investment (FDI) into Vietnam will continue in the 2015-2020 period as multinational groups lineup to partner with the nation on a host of projects.
