News channel France 24 expands coverage in Vietnam
France 24, a TV news broadcaster based in Paris, has recently signed a distribution agreement with five new operators in Vietnam to reach more audiences after nearly two years in the country. After receiving its editing license in September 2016, France 24 started with the broadcast on the offers of FPT Telecom and VNPT Media Corporation in November that year. To strengthen its presence in the country, the channel has recently inked deals with VTVCab, Viettel, HTV-TMS, Clip TV and K+, making it available to 2.2 million additional families, bringing the total audience to 3.75 million Vietnamese families, representing nearly 30 percent of the Vietnamese houses equipped with a television set. English tutor fined, training centres dissolved

Inspectors from the Hà Nội Department of Education and Training on Tuesday imposed VNĐ5 million (US$220) on Nguyễn Thị Kim Tuyến and VNĐ20 million ($880) on the MST English Training Institute where she was director. The department also decided to dissolve all three English training centres under MST. Tuyến will be barred from all teaching activities, it said. The decision comes after the department’s inspection of MST at its headquarters on May 6-7. Source http://soytecantho.vn The Department of Health in the Mekong Delta city of Cần Thơ this year plans to expand a model of family medical practice clinics to 27 more communes and wards. Family medical practice clinics aim to provide comprehensive and continuous health care services to each local individual and family in order to reduce overcrowding of patients at city or central-level hospitals. These clinics are located at health stations in communes and wards. Each commune or ward has one health station. Cần Thơ aims to equip more than 80 per cent of its 85 health stations with these clinics by 2020.
