Rear-end collision between 9 vehicles on HCMC- Long Thanh- Dau Giay expressway
According to the initial information, the reason for accident was started by the driver of a container truck who could not control the speed and crashed into a 4-seater car ahead and continued to collide with a 16-seater passenger coach. The accident caused wrecks and damaged automobiles at the scene; and many people were taken to the hospital. After receiving the information, the functional forces quickly cames to the scene to regulate the traffic; however, until 10 p.m., the traffic situation through the area was still congested. Regarding to the HCMC- Long Thanh- Dau Giay expressway, Sai Gon Giai Phong (SGGP) Newspaper has recently published articles reflecting prolonged traffic jams on the expressway because of non-stop electronic toll collection (ETC) implementation under the direction of the Government. Bangladesh is seeking $2 billion from the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank (ADB) amid efforts to bolster its foreign exchange reserves, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday. Bangladesh's $416 billion economy has been one of the fastest-growing in the world for years, but rising energy and food prices because of the Russia-Ukraine war have inflated its import bill and the current account deficit. The government wrote letters to the two lenders seeking $1 billion each, the report said, citing people familiar with the matter. This comes days after Bangladesh's Daily Star newspaper reported that the country wanted $4.5 billion from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), including for budgetary and balance-of-payment support. Many Vietnamese travel agencies have expressed their concerns over slumping revenue after the Czech Republic, Spain, and Germany refused to issue visas to holders of new Vietnamese passports. Nguyen Nguyet Van Khanh, deputy director of Vietravel's marketing department, stated that about 10-20 percent of the customers who book the firm’s tours to Europe are using the new passport form. Travelers often choose countries in the Schengen area, including France, Germany, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Italy, Khanh elaborated. If customers’ trip includes the Czech Republic, Spain, and Germany and their visas get rejected due to the new passport form, the travel agency needs to adjust the original itinerary, which can be troublesome. Single mum receives public support to save ailing child
A single mum in the southern province of Ben Tre has received financial support of over VND308 million (USD13,391) from the public to help save her small son from cancer after her story was published on Dantri/Dtinews.
