Da Nang, Finance Ministry top Digital Transformation Index
The central city topped the ranking for cities and provinces, scoring 0.6419 points, 0.1545 higher than the 2020 ranking released last year. Thua Thien Hue came in second place again with 0.5872 points, and Ho Chi Minh City climbed two spots to rank third. The top ten also included Bac Ninh, Lang Son, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Thai Nguyen, Binh Phuoc and Bac Giang. The Ministry of Finance led the rankings of 17 ministries and ministry-level agencies providing public services, gaining 0.6321 points, 0.13 higher than the previous ranking. It was followed by the Ministry of Planning and Investment and Vietnam Social Security. Also in the top ten were the State Bank of Vietnam, the ministries of Trade and Industry; Information and Telecommunications; Environment and Natural Resources; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Transport; and Home Affairs. Vietnam seeks Singapore’s experience for sustainable growth
Singapore remained Vietnam’s largest investor among ASEAN countries with 2,959 valid projects worth $70 billion, accounting for 16.3% of the country’s total FDI commitments. Vietnam’s GDP growth set to expand by 7.5% in 2022: World Bank

Four subsidiaries of PetroVietnam named in Forbes Vietnam’s list of top 50 listed firms
They are Petrovietnam Gas Corporation (PV Gas), PetroVietnam General Service Joint Stock Corporation (Petrosetco), PetroVietnam Fertilizer and Chemicals Joint Stock Corporation (PVFCCo), and PetroVietnam Camau Fertilizer JSC. PV Gas is at the ninth place in the list this year. This is the 10th consecutive year that the company has been honoured in the list. The company posted record revenue and profit in the first six months this year, with net turnover at 54.342 trillion VND (2.32 billion USD at current exchange rate), up 35% year on year and after-tax profit at 8.637 trillion VND, up 98% year on year. In the period, PV Gas produced and supplied more than 1 billion tonnes of LPG, accounting for 70% of the domestic gas wholesale market.
