Dang Phuc Nguyen, General Secretary of the Viet Nam Fruits and Vegetables Association, reveals that China, the largest importer of fresh Vietnamese durians, has allowed the fruits to be imported via official channels from July 12. However, these opportunities come with obstacles as the Chinese General Administration of Customs (CGAC) requires that Vietnamese exporting firms and growing areas register with the Vietnamese Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), and the registrations must be sent to CGAC for approval before the fruit can enter the country. Huge transport investment expected to vitalise central regions

For over a month now, relevant personnel at the Ministry of Transport is busy with the final preparations to soon hand over Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot Expressway to the people’s committees of Khanh Hoa and Dak Lak provinces. In light of Decision No.17/QD-TTg dated July 28, two out of three components under Khanh Hoa-Buon Ma Thuot Expressway will be assigned to two localities having the road passage for management. The 32km-long first component with an estimated investment value of $244.8 million will be assigned to Khanh Hoa's People’s Committee while the 48km-long third component valued at around $282 million will be assigned to Dak Lak's People’s Committee. Ho Chi Minh City transport department proposes banning long-haul buses from inner city

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport has proposed that long-haul buses be banned from the inner city in a bid to alleviate traffic jams and eliminate makeshift bus stops. The transport department suggested a road map to ban long-haul buses with over 30 seats from entering the inner city. In the first phase from 2022 to 2025, sleeper buses will be prohibited from traveling into the inner city area inside the corridor from National Highway No. 1 (Thu Duc City, District 12, Binh Tan District, Binh Chanh District) - Nguyen Van Linh Street (Binh Chanh District, District 7) - Vo Chi Cong Street (Thu Duc City) - Dong Van Cong Street (Thu Duc City) - Mai Chi Tho Street (Thu Duc City) - Hanoi Highway (Thu Duc City).
