Da Nang – Hong Kong air route to open on November 26
Two months after four of Central Vietnam’s top properties partnered to form the Vietnam Golf Coast, the Vietnam national flag carrier – Vietnam Airlines (VNA) is opening up the destination via Hong Kong. Starting November 26, VNA will fly every Tuesday and Friday between Southeast Asia’s busiest airport and Da Nang, fast becoming a tourist hot spot for its singular combination of unspoiled beaches, world-class resorts and brand-name golf courses. Organised by Vietnam Airlines and Indochina Travel, the trip takes in golf courses including Da Nang Golf Club, Montgomerie Links and King's Island Golf Club, as well as other places of interest in Da Nang . Sites visited are Da Nang 's Museum of Cham Sculpture , Ngu Hanh Son ( Five Mountains ), Non Nuoc Beach and luxury beach resorts. The trip is part of a broader plan to launch direct air service between Hong Kong and Da Nang . Da Nang golf tourney to tee off
More than 140 amateurs from Thailand, Hong Kong (China) and Vietnam will compete in the Da Nang Golf Club Championship, the club announced on February 24. The two-day tournament with one 18-hole round format will start at 12pm on April 4 and at 7.30am the next day at the club, which is located on the coastal Son Tra-Dien Ngoc Street. The Mercedes Trophy Qualifier will be also held at the course with five top players earning berths at the 2015 Mercedes National Final Round. As usual, organisers will offer a hole-in-one prize of a Mercedes car on the first competition day.
