Hang thanked leaders of Athens for the warm welcome and praised Greece and Athens’ thousands of years of history and culture. She highlighted the necessity for enhanced ties between the two capital cities to help translate the two governments’ cooperation programme into reality. (Cinet)- Due to facing on the weakness for maintenance of the intangible cultural heritage, Khanh Hoa People’s Committee has recently established the Steering Committee of the cultural intangible heritage in the Province. Khanh Hoa is a local that has developed many potentialities about the cultural intangible heritage. With many forms of cultural intangible heritages such a folk literary, a traditional show art, a social custom, a traditional festival and a traditional handicraft, Khanh Hoa has concerned about the maintenance and development of the intangible cultural heritage. The Centre for International Cooperation on Conservation (CICC) of the National Research Institute for Cultural Properties, Tokyo (NRICPT) provides discussion opportunities for experts on Asia in the form of international meetings or workshops from 14 to March 16, 2008 in Tashkent – Uzbekistan. In this context, the CICC is carrying out a five-year project (2006-2011), which calls for an annual expert meeting aimed at sharing knowledge on current preservation issues of cultural heritage in Asian countries. The first meeting, held in Tokyo in 2006, broadly identified the current needs in Asia.
