Ltd., has been authorised by the Drug Administration of Vietnam (DAV) for the domestic treatment of COVID-19. This is the fourth Molnupiravir-based drug produced in Vietnam to be authorised for use in the country. The DAV orders manufacturers to adhere to documents registered with the Ministry of Health; coordinate with treatment facilities to strictly comply with current regulations on prescription drugs, monitor the safety, effectiveness, and unwanted effects of drugs on Vietnamese people, as well as compile reports according to regulations. Vietnam tourism development ranked among three biggest global improvers
Vietnam gained an overall score of 4.1 out of seven points, rising by 4.7 percent to leap from 60th in 2019 to 52nd out of 117 economies in the 2021 index released on Wednesday by the World Economic Forum (WEF). The index measures the factors and policies that will enable sustainable and resilient development of tourism from business, safety and health conditions, to infrastructure and natural resources, environmental, socioeconomic and demand pressures. The WEF report further ascribed Vietnam’s improved ranking to its achievements in Covid pandemic prevention, flexible adaptation as well as continuous efforts to develop safe tourism. Vietnam performed well in price competitiveness, safety and security, air transport and port infrastructure as well as natural resources. UNDP supports flood-resilient houses for Vietnam coastal residents
It’s estimated to cost US$330 million to provide housing for climate-vulnerable in 28 coastal provinces in Vietnam. Dozens of vulnerable people in Quang Binh, one of Vietnam’s localities heavily affected by natural disasters, will soon benefit from a housing program supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Share, and local authorities. A report based on anonymized data voluntarily provided by parental control application Kaspersky Safe Kids users has highlighted Vietnamese instant messaging app Zalo as the most used platform by children in Vietnam in the first quarter of 2022. Once installed, Kaspersky Safe Kids collects search queries and web browsing activities on devices that children use to access the Internet in order to notify parents of content in “undesirable categories,” including adult media, alcohol, narcotics, tobacco, racism, and profanity. The multinational cybersecurity and anti-virus provider carried out a study using data from Kaspersky Safe Kids to better understand child preferences and interests. Vietnam to face Thailand, Indonesia in Asian youth tournaments
Vietnam’s U17 and U20 football teams are scheduled to take on their Thai and Indonesian opponents respectively in qualifiers for upcoming international tournaments, according to a draw held by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) on May 24. Vietnam will play in Group F alongside Thailand, Chinese Taipei, and Nepal in the qualifiers for the AFC U17 Asian Cup due to be held in Bahrain this October. Elsewhere, in the qualifiers for the AFC U20 Asian Cup in Uzbekistan in September, Vietnam’s U20s will play Indonesia, Hong Kong (China), and Timor Leste in Group F. The U.S.-Vietnam Cooperation Center made its debut in Hanoi on Tuesday and will function as a place for anyone interested in learning more about the two countries’ diplomatic relations. The U.S.-Vietnam Cooperation Center is located on the campus of the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam in the capital city. It is an output of the partnership between the U.S. Embassy in Hanoi and the Diplomatic Academy of Vietnam. The space, open to academics, researchers, faculty, students, and the public, is set to be a platform for educational and cultural programming, research support, and academic services.
