After taking over from the market-friendly Mauricio Macri, Fernandez sent a message to the International Monetary Fund, saying "it's impossible to pay external debt without growth." PM to host reception for victorious SEA Games football teams
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will host a reception to welcome both the national men’s and women’s football teams following their gold medals at the SEA games arena. PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with coach Park Hang-seo and the national football team after the team won the AFF Cup 2018. The women’s football squad trained by Coach Mai Duc Chung defeated Thailand at the final match to clinch the gold medal of SEA Games 30. This is the sixth time they have secured the gold medal at the event. Meanwhile, the male team eased past Indonesia 3-0 in the final at the Philippines’ Rizal Memorial Stadium on December 10. To raise awareness of homelessness and the refugee predicament worldwide, a pioneering group comprising of 16 Grade 11 and 12 students as well as 4 teachers took part in their first ever Sleep Out on school premises as part of The World's Big Sleep Out. World's Big Sleep Out at Stamford American International School Singapore The World's Big Sleep Out is now an annual global event to help raise awareness and funds to help the world's homeless and displaced. The Sleep Out was held across 52 cities, with over 50,000 people taking part. Even celebrities such as Will Smith and Dame Helen Mirren read bedtime stories to participants who braved the winter weather to sleep on the street in New York and London respectively. The photo was shortlisted as one of the most striking submissions by the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management (Ciwem) for its Ciwem Environmental Photographer of The Year 2019 award.
