The center, developed by Vina Media Joint- Venture Company and Link Service Joint- Venture Company, is providing services such as shopping, house keeping, repair of home machines, and gardening services among others. Le Hoang Yen, chairwoman of Vina Media Corporation, told the Daily that the company has cooperation from hundreds of corporate partners including hotels, restaurants, sanitation companies, shopping centers, transportation agencies, construction companies and many others to provide the new services. Vietnam’s first university goes multilingual to cater for foreign visitors
Hanoi's renowned Temple of Literature is trying to connect with foreign visitors by offering audio guides in eight different languages. Those fluent in French, Spanish, Korean, Japanese, Thai, English, Chinese, and of course, Vietnamese, should now be able to explore the temple, Vietnam's first university built in 1070, with confidence. With a ticket costing VND30,000 ($1.32), visitors are equipped with headphones and players for tours around the temple. Hanoi received almost 4.95 million foreign visitors in 2017, up 23 percent from the previous year. Hanoi is an affordable city, a great place for people to immerse themselves in, and a great place for food, said Australian travel writer Phoebe Lee, who visited Hanoi to star in two commercials aired by U.S. television network CNN as part of a $2 million tourism deal inked with the city last year. Ltd., a member of the 2030 Businessmen Club under the Saigon Times Club, has expanded its presence from the embroidery to food catering sector. The company has just inaugurated Haha Sushi Restaurant in HCMC’s District 1. The company’s director Duong Hoan Tuyen said the target is to open one eatery every three months. The company looks to a chain of 40 restaurants in HCMC by 2019. These facilities serve foods with prices from VND25,000 per dish. CPI slightly up on small food catering services price hike
The Hanoitimes - The November consumer price index (CPI) increased a mere 0.47% month-on-month even though prices of nine out of eleven groups of items surged and many groups posted higher price growth than last month, according to the General Statistics Office. In a report announced last Saturday, GSO ascribed the inconsiderable surge of the national CPI to the slight decline of food and food catering services as the most-weighted group in the commodity basket. This month’s CPI inched up 0.47% against the previous month, with the eleven-month index marking up 6.52%, soaring 7.08% year-on-year. Nine out of eleven groups in the basket of commodities used for CPI calculation have contributed to the 0.47% growth, with the group of medicine and health services making a substantial contribution when jumping 5.16% month-on-month. Healthcare services alone grew 6.66% while the eight others recorded a moderate rise of less than 1%.
