They include black tiger shrimps, white-legged shrimps, clams, river giant prawns, and tra fish. Nguyễn Minh Cảnh, deputy chairman of the province People’s Committee, said advanced breeding techniques would be used to increase yield, output and quality. They would also help adapt to climate change and protect the environment, he said. The province would develop linkages between small fisheries breeding establishments to create large breeding areas and also link them with businesses to ensure supply of inputs and outlets for their harvests, he said. High-tech agriculture complex construction starts in Gia Lai

Situated in Ia Le Commune in Chu Puh District, the VND1 trillion (US$44.6 million) complex is the fourth project developed by Hung Nhon Group and the Netherlands' De Heus. It will be built on an area of around 100ha and include a pig farm with a capacity of 2,500 head imported from the Netherlands, an organic fertiliser factory, and an organic farming area. It will have modern technologies throughout the breeding process to control livestock quality, optimise livestock performance and reduce costs. There will be a grid-connected solar power system to help substantially reduce CO2 emissions. Founded 50 years ago, it is a peaceful place in downtown Hà Nội where animal lovers can pay their last respects to their beloved pets. Nguyễn Bảo Sinh, 84, owner of the pet cemetery, believes that pets have the right to be treated like humans. He said that it was one of the main reasons he built the pet cemetery. “I think pets have equal rights as human beings, and they should be treated and loved just like humans,” he said. “Buddhism teaches us to have love and kindness to all, including animals and plants. That is the compassion in Buddha’s teaching. My pagoda is built based on the principle of compassion in Buddhism." Some of them have even had to sell their homes or suffer billions of VND in losses with chicken breeding. Hoang Thi Cuc, a farmer in Hoa Thang ward, poured in over $108,000 into lodging and began to work with Japfa in 2019 to feed 15,000 chickens, but he has now abandoned the farm. “At the time, Japfa said that we could recoup capital within the next three years. So we decided to borrow money and rent land to build the farm. However, after the first year and gaining some profit, we have suffered losses since then.
