Matches of the tournament, which will last until June 17, will take place at Bac Ninh Gymnasium and the Bac Ninh University of Physical Education and Sports. The host Vietnam is in Group A, together with defending champion China, Japan and Thailand.  Group B consists of the Republic of Korea, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan and India.  While Group C gathers Hong Kong and Macao of China, Australia and Iran, Group D will see the competition of Malaysia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
