PM to chat with the public online for the first time (25-01-2007) HA NOI — Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will spend two and a half hours chatting with the public during an online forum on February 9. It’s the first time a Vietnamese Prime Minister will be involved in an online chat with members of the public. Editor in chief of Bao Dien Tu Dang Cong San Viet Nam (the on-line newspaper of the Viet Nam Communist Party), Dao Duy Quat, said the Prime Minister would address a wide range of issues. "I believe the Prime Minister would answer all questions raised by the people," said Quat at a press conference to announce the event. Outlook (09-02-2007) PM Dung to enter chatrooms, answer public questions online by Pham Thanh Long Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung will today spend two and a half hours chatting online with the public for the first time. The event, which has attracted the attention of the public and the media both inside and outside the country, is being jointly organised by Bao Dien Tu Dang Cong San Viet Nam (the online newspaper of the Viet Nam Communist Party), the Government website, Viet Nam Television and the online VietnamNet e-paper. The organisers said that they had received nearly 16,000 questions. According to the organisers, the PM would answer some 113 questions selected by them while the rest would be answered later because of the time limit.
