Over 18,000 volunteers take part in exam assistance program

At the launching ceremony of the exam assistance program, "Tiep suc mua thi" This year’s campaign attracted more than 18,000 students who are divided into 16 groups offering assistance to candidates at 158 exam sites, such as providing candidates with information related to the exam, resolving emergencies, ensuring security and helping regulate traffic near testing locations during the national high school examination period from July 6-9, Director of the Student Assistance Center in HCMC, Le Xuan Dung said. The exam assistance program has two phases running from May to July. In the first stage, volunteers offered health care and helped students study online and prepare for the upcoming examination. The program will also hand over 60 scholarships worth VND 2 million each and gifts to disadvantaged students affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam to use small satellites to build capacity in Earth observation

(Photo: VNSC) Hanoi (VNA) – Potential plans and roadmaps were proposed to build national capacity in Earth observation using small satellite systems during a seminar held by the Vietnam National Space Centre (VNSC) at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology (VAST) in Hanoi on June 30. In his remarks, VNSC General Director Assoc. Prof., Dr. Pham Anh Tuan said the Government in February 2021 announced a strategy for the development and application of aerospace science and technology by 2030, aiming to utilise achievements in the fields to address defence and security issues, strengthen management of environment and natural resources, monitor natural disasters and minimise their impacts, and provide related services for people. Lang Son takes lead in digital transformation

(Photo: VNA) Lang Son (VNA) - The Ministry of Information and Communications is taking the northern mountainous province of Lang Son a leading locality in terms of digital transformation , heard a conference held on June 28. The province has successfully implemented its digital border programme , cloud platform , digital citizen application, and virtual assistance. Lang Son is also the first locality to transfer 100% of school activities to a digital platform, and is ranked 6th nationwide in terms of successful transactions on Vietnam's e-commerce platforms. USAID cooperates with MPI to ready enterprises for the future

The event was held by PepsiCo Vietnam , the Centre of Education and Development (CED), and the Vietnam Chamber of Industry and Commerce (VCCI) - Da Nang branch. It was part of the “Increase awareness in plastic waste management” project funded by PepsiCo Foundation through Give2Asia and implemented by CED in collaboration with partners in Vietnam from January 2020 to December 2022. Literary works for children honored with awards

The awards ceremony was held to celebrate the International Children's Day (June 1) in Hanoi. The winning works are: Co Ban La Co Ban (Basic is Basic), Biet Doi Tham Tu (Detective Team), Emma Tham Hoa (Disaster Emma), Du Dua Tren Ngon Cay Bang (Swing on Indian Almond's Branch), and a short story collection and picture book Chiec Dep That Lac (The Lost Sandal). The annual non-profit awards were launched in 2020 to honor the best works by and for children. The award title is taken from the main character in De Men Phieu Luu Ky (Diary of a Cricket) by To Hoai, one of the most well-known Vietnamese children’s books. The awards include one grand prize called Hiep Si De Men (Cricket Knight) and five others called Khat Vong De Men (Cricket Desire).
