Hanoi (VNA) – In 2020, Vietnam secured breakthrough success in diplomacy despite adverse impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung affirmed in a recent article reviewing the first year of the country’s non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC). Trung wrote that 2020 was a successful year for Vietnam with numerous important activities carried out in a proactive, flexible, and creative manner in all channels and pillars, thus bringing about impressive results. Hanoi (VNA) – The success of the 13th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) will be a strong and firm political guarantee for the development of socialism in Vietnam and provide a new driving force for the country’s  socio-economic development, said Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo. In a recent interview with the Vietnam News Agency ahead of the Congress, he said the CPV, founded by President Ho Chi Minh, is the genuine representative of fundamental interests of the Vietnamese people.
