Photo: VGP The following is the translated version of his article: The year 2018 marks the 11th anniversary of Viet Nam’s accession to the World Trade Organization, 20th anniverarsary of Viet Nam’s participation in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), 23rd anniversary of Viet Nam’s official admission to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), and 51st founding anniversary of the bloc. ASEAN was established in Bangkok on August 8, 1967 with the aim of rallying political power in order to promote economic cooperation and development towards shared prosperity and ensure peace and stability in Southeast Asia. Vietnam attends the 48th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting
The Hanoitimes - On August 3, a Vietnamese delegation led by Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh attended 48th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting (AEM 48) and related meetings in Vientiane, Laos, focusing on economic cooperation among the 10 member countries as well as between the group and its partners. The 48th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting opens in Laos
(VOVworld) - The 48th ASEAN Economic Ministers’ Meeting opened in Vientiane, Laos on Wednesday with the participation of 10 ASEAN countries’ economic ministers, the ASEAN Secretary General and other officials. The 14th ASEAN Finance Ministers' Meeting (AFMM-14), the third one held in Việt Nam, opened this morning in the coastal city of Nha Trang in KhánhHòaProvince. Addressing the opening session, Deputy PM Nguyễn Sinh Hùng underlined that as a comprehensive and dynamic regional political-economic entity playing an important role in the world, ASEAN is now speeding up its economic integration, especially finance-monetary as a vital component. He asserted that ASEAN's action plan on capital market development, liberalization of financial services, insurance, customs and banking cooperation is very important.
