The tourism authority of Kien Giang Province will begin a fact-finding trip to survey a sea tourist route between Viet Nam, Cambodia and Thailand next month. The one week trip, which groups representatives of Kien Giang provincial authorities and 25 tour operators from southern provinces, will tour Rach Gia town and Phu Quoc Island in Viet Nam, Shihanoukville of Cambodia, and Chanthaburi and Trat of Thailand. The director of Kien Giang Tourism Department Le Minh Hoang said the sea route would offer a new tour but also help tourists curtail the time for travel between the three countries. Vietnam Airlines will today fly bigger aircraft to Siem Reap and Phnom Penh in Cambodia and Vientiane in Laos to let the affected passengers board if they can leave Thailand by road to the airports in those nations.
