The awards ceremony was held to celebrate the International Children's Day (June 1) in Hanoi. The winning works are: Co Ban La Co Ban (Basic is Basic), Biet Doi Tham Tu (Detective Team), Emma Tham Hoa (Disaster Emma), Du Dua Tren Ngon Cay Bang (Swing on Indian Almond's Branch), and a short story collection and picture book Chiec Dep That Lac (The Lost Sandal). The annual non-profit awards were launched in 2020 to honor the best works by and for children. The award title is taken from the main character in De Men Phieu Luu Ky (Diary of a Cricket) by To Hoai, one of the most well-known Vietnamese children’s books. The awards include one grand prize called Hiep Si De Men (Cricket Knight) and five others called Khat Vong De Men (Cricket Desire). New milestone in Vietnam’s relations with Hungary, UK
The five-day visits of Vietnam’s National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to Hungary and the UK marked a new milestone in bilateral relations, eventually contributing to the Vietnam-EU partnership. The Chairman’s official visit to Hungary was significant amid the 72nd anniversary of diplomatic relations and approaching the five-year mark of the comprehensive partnership (2018 – 2023). In mid-June, Van Anh and her family of four took a summer holiday in Da Nang, famous as the country’s most livable city, but they felt that the trip was made boring because they had nothing to do in the evening. "Besides swimming, eating out and visiting Ba Na Hills, I realized that Da Nang has very few services for tourists, especially in the evening. After eating, we come back to the hotel and there are no more night-time activities," she said. Thu Huong, another tourist from Hanoi, also spent a night in Da Nang last month and watched a fire breathing act on the iconic Dragon Bridge at night. She said she didn’t know what else she could do. Vietnam’s marine economy unleashes major potential

The event was jointly hosted by the Association of Vietnamese Studies (AVS) in the RoK and the Busan University of Foreign Studies. In his opening speech, Chairman of AVS Prof. Bae Yang-soo spotlighted the strong development of the RoK-Vietnam cooperative relations across fields over the last 30 years. He stressed the need to enhance academic exchanges between scholars and researchers, especially those working on Vietnamese studies, of the two countries in the coming time. Vietnamese Ambassador to the RoK Nguyen Vu Tung highlighted the significance of the workshop for the development of the Vietnam-RoK relations.
