Hanoi dancers win three gold medals at National Amateur Dance Competition 2022

The contest aims to contribute to preserving and promoting Vietnamese folk dance art among youth. Amateur dancers from Hanoi Cultural Center have won three gold and three silver medals at the Vietnam National Amateur Dance Competition 2022. The performance of dancers from Hanoi draw the attention of An Giang audiences. Photo: Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports The annual competition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in the southern province of An Giang in early June. According to the organizers, it was held to honor the beauty and diversity of today's Vietnamese folk dance art, which is based on a harmonious combination of tradition and modernity. Hanoi  delegation won the gold medal for an art program that consists five dances dividing into three categories of Solo, Trio, and group dance. (Photo from Tran Van Nguyen's Facebook) Hanoi (VNS/VNA) - Tran Van Nguyen of Vietnam won a gold medal at the 2022 World Para Athletics Grand Prix in Rades Stadium in Tunis, Tunisia, on June 29. Nguyen finished first in the men's F40/41 javelin throw event with a score of 31m18 which brought him 815 points. Gurkan Uncuoglu of Turkey came second with 676 points. He was followed by Redouane Thabit of Morocco, on 551 points. It was Nguyen's second medal at the tournament, which delivers points for athletes for their Paris Paralympics qualification. On June 28, Nguyen earned a silver in the men's F40/41 shot put. Vietnam Team also took a bronze in the women's discus throw on the last day of the competition on June 29. SEA Games champion Đào Hồng Sơn made the most remarkable victories with all three wins by submission in the men's U56kg. "It was a hard-working day. Vietnam book place in Women World Cup for first time
