The ASEAN Para Games 2022 is a qualifier for athletes to win tickets to Paralympic Paris 2024. Some 155 Vietnamese athletes with disabilities will attend the 11th Southeast Asian Para Games (ASEAN Para Games 2022) in Indonesia next month, according to the General Department of Sports and Physical Training under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The Vietnamese delegation will include one guiding athlete, 18 coaches, two doctors, and 13 support personnel. The rest are Vietnamese parasports athletes who will compete in eight events: track and field, swimming, weightlifting, badminton, table tennis, chess, judo, and archery. On July 23, a departure ceremony will be held to see off the Vietnamese delegation at the National Sports Training Center in Ho Chi Minh City. The practice session began at 9:30 a.m. local time amid a light drizzle, according to Pau FC. Hai, the first Vietnamese to play for a professional club in France, and his teammates were present about 10 minutes prior. It wrote that with export and consumption recovery, the Vietnamese economy rebounded strongly in Q2, with gross domestic product (GDP) increasing 7.72% year on year – the fastest pace in almost 11 years. This is expected to boost the GDP growth in the first half of 2022 to 6.42% from a year earlier, beyond the Government’s 5.5% expectation. Real estate prices in Ho Chi Minh City skyrocketed during the second quarter of this year to hit record highs, with some villas in the city currently on sale for VND700 billion (US$30 million), according to statements given at a conference on Tuesday. Hanoi's GRDP growth in the first half of this year shows the economic recovery with the development of many key industries. Hanoi's economy has posted solid growth in the first six months of 2022, director of the municipal statistics bureau Dau Ngoc Hung said at a press conference on June 30. The city's gross domestic product (GDP) has expanded by 7.79% compared to the same period last year, in which, growth in the first and second quarters was 6.02% and 9.49%, respectively, Hung said. He stressed that GRDP growth in the first half of this year is higher than that in the six-month periods in recent years, showing a clear trend of recovery and development quarter after quarter of key industries.
