HCMC plans to provide fourth Covid-19 vaccine dose

The rollout is aimed at the highest risk groups, including people aged 50 and older (around 1.8 million people), those aged above 18 with immunodeficiency, and specific groups at risk. Vietnam issues 14 million ‘COVID-19 vaccine passports’
The Vietnamese Ministry of Health has issued 14 million ‘COVID-19 vaccine passports’ to the general public since April 15. A month after its official rollout, the passport is now available on the national COVID-19 app PC-Covid and the Digital Health app. It has 11 fields of information: name, date of birth, nationality, the targeted disease, doses of vaccines received, date of vaccination, lot number of the vaccine batch, type of vaccine, vaccine product received, the vaccine manufacturer, and a code for the certification. Information on the targeted disease, vaccine, vaccine product or manufacturer is compatible with the values provided in the World Health Organization’s 'COVID-19 Vaccine Tracker and Landscape' and the 'Value Sets for EU Digital COVID Certificates' issued by the European Union. Daily Covid-19 infections fall to 10-month low in Vietnam
Vietnam saw a record low in daily Covid-19 infections over the past 10 months with just 1,895 cases confirmed on Saturday, raising the national tally to nearly 10.70 million, according to the Ministry of Health. According to the ministry's report, most of the new patients are locally-transmitted cases confirmed in 53 out of 63 localities in the country with some localities seeing the highest numbers including Hanoi (489), Nghe An (115), Quang Ninh (95), Vinh Phuc (92), and Phu Tho (92). As of Saturday evening, the number of Covid-19 patients in Vietnam has increased to over 10.70 million. The latest decision is expected to boost the traveling of visitors to Vietnam in the context that the country's Covid-19 infections have dropped to a 10-month low. Vietnam has removed the pre-entry Covid-19 testing requirements for all arrivals, starting today [May 15], according to a recent government’s instruction. It comes as the numbers of Covid-19 infections and deaths drop both in Vietnam and around the world. The Ministry of Health announced that it has issued more than 14 million COVID-19 vaccine passports to the general public, a month from its official rollout on April 15. Among the 57 domestically-transmitted cases, 39 were found in Bac Giang province, 13 in the neighbouring province of Bac Ninh, two in Da Nang, one in in Lang Son, and two in Tan Trieu facility of the Vietnam National Cancer Hospital. The latest cases have brought the national count of domestic infections to 3,462, with 1,892 detected since the new wave of the pandemic started in the country on April 27.
