Additionally, he said the city’s canal system is not capable of receiving a container ship capacity of over 3,000 TEUs. Many businesses also said that the clearance time at Cat Lai port has improved, but compared to other ports in the region, it takes 6.37 days to clear the shipment. As international trade recovers from the impacts of Covid-19, addressing congestion at Cat Lai Port has become a priority. SEA Games 31: Quang Ninh to offer invitation cards for women’s football semi-finals

(Photo: VNA) Quang Ninh (VNA) – Quang Ninh northeastern province on May 18 morning will offer 14,500 invitation cards for the women’s football semi-finals of the ongoing SEA Games 31, a local official has said. Director of the provincial Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Manh Ha stated that the move was finalised following a discussion with the Asian Football Confederation. The Thailand-Philippines fixture will kick off at 3.30pm and the Vietnam-Myanmar game at 7pm on the same day at the 16,000-seat Cam Pha Stadium of the province. The Culture and Sports Department will be responsible for the distribution of the cards. The plan for the final must be made on the basis of the results of the semi-finals, Ha added. In just a few hours, more than VNĐ374 million ($16,000) was donated to a JustGiving page set up to pay for the body of Denver Barfield to be repatriated to his home in the UK. The 24-year-old from Leicester in the East Midlands, died after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding from Hội An City to Điện Bàn township in the early hours of Monday morning. The matches will take place between Thailand and the Philippines at 3:30pm and between Vietnam and Myanmar at 7pm on the same day. Vietnam stamp their regional dominance with SEA Games women’s football gold
The latest SEA Games gold is the 10th regional title that Vietnamese women have bagged - having won six SEA Games gold and three Women’s AFF Cup titles earlier. Saturday's victory at the Cam Pha Stadium in the northern province of Quang Ninh helped Vietnam move past nine regional titles won by Thailand. However, besides the Southeast Asian titles, Thailand also won one pan Asian title - the 1983 Asian Cup. Coach Mai Duc Chung has contributed to six of Vietnam's 10 regional titles. Chung has become the most decorated football coach in the country with nine titles to his credit. Apart from the six titles with the women’s team, he also won the National Cup with Saigon and the domestic double with Binh Duong. "This victory is really meaningful. The Vietnamese women earn SEA Games gold medals for the third consecutive times. Vietnam defeated Thailand 1-0 to win gold medals in SEA Games 31, the seven of its kind in Southeast Asia’s biggest sports tournament in 2001, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2017, 2019, and 2022.
