VRCS receives medical equipment, supplies from Oman
The event was attended by President of the VRCS Bui Thi Hoa, Omani Ambassador to Vietnam Saleh Mohamed Ahmed Al-Suqri, and CEO of the Oman Charitable Organization (OCO) Mohammed Hamoud Said Al-Zahli. At the handover, which was witnessed by representatives of Vietnam’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador to Vietnam Saleh Mohamed Ahmed Al-Suqri and OCO’s CEO Mohammed Hamoud Said Al-Zahli handed over two ambulances, two ventilators, 20,000 N95 masks, 8,000 SPO2 meters, 8,000 protective suits, 8,000 electronic personal thermometers, and 2,000 gloves to the VRCS’s representatives. These medical supplies were donated by Omani Government and people to assist the Vietnamese Government and people in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic. “Indochina – the wonderland” exhibition tells the story of Vietnam during French colonial period
Indochina and its mysteries under the French rule in the late 19th and early 20th centuries will be revealed through a unique black and white photo exhibition. 3D model of Cuc Phuong National Park built

The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) and the park held a workshop on July 5 to report consultation outcomes about building the 3D model with the engagement of the local community. Deputy Director of the park Do Quang Lap said with a ratio of 1:10,000, the 3.1m x 2m model reflects an area measuring 31km x 20km of the park’s core zone and part of its buffer zone. It will help improve knowledge about the potential of tourism products in and around the park and engage local residents in the development of new and sustainable community-based tourism products. Thanh Hoa shows strong performance in State budget collection
Nghi Son 1 power plant in Thanh Hoa (Source: baothanhhoa.vn) Thanh Hoa (VNA) – The central province of Thanh Hoa collected about 26.33 trillion VND (1.12 billion USD) to the State budget in the first six months of this year, completing 94% of its plan for the period. According to the provincial Department of Finance, domestic collection was estimated at 16.67 trillion VND, fulfilling 97% of the target for the whole year. Of the total, collection from land use fee was over 7.77 trillion VND. Meanwhile, collection from foreign-invested firms exceeded 3.25 trillion VND, and income from the non-State-owned sector topped 1.44 trillion VND. At the same time, income from import and export activities in the first six months of this year hit over 9.65 trillion VND, equivalent to 88% of the plan. Electronics groups from South Korea and Japan are continuing to expand in Vietnam, Le Toan The Saigon Hi-tech Park Management Authority has recently granted the license for Samsung Electronics HCMC CE Complex (SEHC) to expand its operation with a total investment capital of $841 million. Starting operations in 2016, SEHC is currently Samsung Electronics’ second-largest manufacturing site worldwide for TV screens and home electronics units. Meanwhile, Samsung Engineering has officially become the strategic shareholder of DNP Water, a member of DNP Holdings, after spending $41 million to acquire 24 per cent of the company. The pair signed a strategic partnership agreement on June 29. Investing in DNP Water is an opportunity for Samsung Engineering to approach the water treatment sector in Vietnam.
