The film will be premiered nationwide on February 22 with English subtitles. It’s one of 14 films competing for the Grand Prix and Most Promising Talent Award, according to information released on the official website of the festival. Other entries in this section include The Girl in the Orange Dress (Philippines), Our Body (Korea), Asandhimitta (Sri Lanka), The Lady Improper (Hong Kong) and Tanabata’s Wife (Philippines). Buffalo painting contest held in Ha Nam
A buffalo painting competition has been held at a ploughing festival in Ha Nam Province on February 10. The buffalos were turned into canvases as 24 participants from Hanoi, Ha Nam, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh and one from Russia joined the contest. The buffalo painting competition was first held in 2009. The buffalos were gathered for Doi Son Tich Dien or ploughing festival which was held on the sixth day of the Lunar New Year which fell on February 10 this year in Doi Son commune, and the winning buffalos will be used in the ploughing ceremony to pray for good harvests held on February 11. The festival is an important event, aiming to encourage agriculture and promote the building of new-style rural areas. King Le Dai Hanh started the festival when he worked on the field himself in 987. However, the annual festival was forgotten for a long time and was only resumed in 2009. Midfielder Luong Xuan Truong signs for Thai team
Central midfielder Luong Xuan Truong has arrived in Thailand to sign a contract with the country’s Buriram United Football Club. Truong signed a one-year contract for an undisclosed fee and contract. Midfielder Luong Xuan Truong (left) Truong earlier played in South Korea for Incheon United for two years and then returned to Vietnam to play for Hoang Anh Gia Lai. Buriram United were Thai champions last season finishing 16 points ahead of runners-up Bangkok United. Quang Hai wins Asian Cup 2019 best goal vote
Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen Quang Hai has won the vote for the best goal at Asian Cup 2019. Hai’s goal came from a stunning free kick in the last match of the group stage with Yemen. Football player Quang Hai The goal received 105,139 votes, accounting for up to 49% out of the votes given to selected goals in the list. Hai was followed by China’s Wu Lei; Jordan’s Baha Abdelrahman and Qatar’s Almoez Ali. Earlier, Quang Hai was voted the best player of the group stage at the Asian Cup 2019. Hai was also named as the Most Valuable Player at the ASEAN Football Federation Championship that ended recently, where Vietnam were crowned champions. Vietnam aims for achievements in SEA Games 2019 and Olympics 2020. Vietnam wins AFF Cup 2018 Vietnam is preparing for the coming SEA Games and Para Games in the Philippines, the qualifying rounds for the Olympic 2020 and 2019 World Beach Games in the US. Meanwhile, the Vietnam national football team will continue participating in various tournaments in South East Asia such as the qualifying round for World Cup 2011(?) and 30th SEA Games.
