During the period, Unit A50 supported Cambodia in the process of building, protecting, and developing Phnom Penh capital city, affirming that Ho Chi Minh City's former advisors, officers, and volunteers successfully completed their international duties. Their wholehearted support contributed to a prosperous Cambodia as it is today and fostering the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia.
On July 12, 2019, the Party and the State of Vietnam decided to present the Golden Star Order to the Vietnamese advisors assisting the Cambodian revolution, appreciating the great contribution of the Vietnamese advisors, including Unit A50, to the revival and building of Cambodia.
