Audi Viet Nam has just confirmed that the number of Audi Q5 cars sold in the Vietnamese market that are subject to a recall to install protectors is 726.

The number of vehicles in the company’s warehouse is 122 units.

In the process of continuously researching and monitoring product quality, AUDI AG, a German company specialising in the production of luxury cars, has discovered on a number of Audi Q5 cars produced in a specific time, the information control box can be damaged by moisture penetrating under the back seat.

For the sake of maximum safety for customers using vehicles, AUDI AG requires all official importers to check the list of related and recalled vehicles for inspection.

Audi Viet Nam decided to recall all potentially affected Audi cars manufactured from 2017 to 2022 that are imported and officially distributed in the Vietnamese market for inspection and replacement.

The recall programme will take place from now until May 9, 2025, and has been registered with the Viet Nam Register to coordinate monitoring.

Lien A International JSC, the official Audi distributor in Viet Nam, is currently communicating directly with each Audi owner in the affected area. Inspection and repair time is 30 minutes for each vehicle and it is completely free.

Customers can check directly whether their vehicle is subject to recall or not on the website www.audi.vn by entering their vehicle’s chassis number.

For non-genuinely distributed vehicles subject to the recall announced by AUDI AG, the responsibility for the recall rests with the importers.

However, Audi Viet Nam is ready to assist customers in contacting AUDI AG and performing inspection and reinforcement upon approval from AUDI AG. — VNS
