Sa Pa Square, the area in front of Stone Church, in Sa Pa of northern Lao Cai Province is usually packed with tourists from around 7 to 9:30 p.m. Every Saturday at 7 p.m, Khen panpipe playing and dancing are staged here by H’mong ethnic men. A motorbike taxi driver on Thach Son Street said there are many people here at night these days because of the nice weather. Mai Trinh, a visitor from Ho Chi Minh City, said: “Before I came, I did not think Sa Pa would be so bustling. In fact, the streets were very crowded. I really like the atmosphere here because it’s as cool as Da Lat. However, I find the traffic still a bit messy.
