Hanoi streets have been brightened up as sua flowers or Dalbergia tonkinensis started blooming in late February. Sua flowers are planted on many streets like Phan Chu Trinh, Tran Hung Dao, Thanh Nien and Hoang Dieu. As the flowers bloom, many people went out to Giang Vo Lake to take photos. The flowers bloom quickly but also have a short life. Sua flowers are not a fiery colour or have a strong smell. People like the flowers for the pure colour and the freshness it brings in spring. They are regarded as calming while amid busy daily life. Some photos of the flowers in Hanoi: Sua flowers on Dien Bien Phu Street Flowers blooming
