VNA General Director Nguyen Duc Loi (L) and Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon (Source: VNA) Seoul (VNA) – General Director of the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) Nguyen Duc Loi spoke highly of the growing Vietnam-Republic of Korea (RoK) ties in a diverse range of areas, during a meeting with RoK Prime Minister Lee Nak-yon in Seoul on February 18. General Director Loi introduced the role and function of the VNA and underlined the need to enhance information sharing between the VNA and Yonhap news agency. He said the Vietnamese people pay close attention to the RoK and its people so that the two news agencies hold responsibility for deepening mutual understanding between the two countries’ peoples. PM Lee, for his part, wished that the VNA and Yonhap would continue serving as bridges to promote bilateral ties in the near future. He also conveyed his thanks to the Vietnamese Government for facilitating RoK businesses’ operations in Vietnam over the past few years, as well as providing support for Korean people in the country.
