The Malaysia-based carrier will launch a Nha Trang- Bangkok direct route in May – PHOTO: HOAI THU HCMC – AirAsia, a Malaysian budget carrier, will launch a direct air route connecting Nha Trang in the south-central coastal province of Khanh Hoa with Bangkok in Thailand from May 1. The carrier will operate four weekly flights on the new route on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Commenting on the launch, Laddawan Meesupwatan, director of Product, Indochina market, at AirAsia, said that the new air route will encourage local people in Khanh Hoa Province to visit Thailand and other destinations in Southeast Asia. The carrier had previously seen positive results in launching a route linking Nha Trang with Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia in 2017, the AirAsia representative said. On the occasion of the new launch, AirAsia is offering special discounts to customers traveling on this route, with flight tickets priced from VND670,000 (including taxes and fees). Customers can book the promotional tickets on the carrier’s website at airasia.com or on its mobile app on February 11-24 for flights departing between May 1 and October 25. AirAsia currently operates 15 direct routes linking Hanoi, HCMC, Danang and Phu Quoc with six destinations in Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
