Stage director Le Hai Yen bags two Stevie Awards Yen’s work, the 2018 Sam Son Sea Festival, won her a Bronze Stevie Award for Female Entrepreneur of the Year in Asia, Australia and New Zealand and an additional Gold Stevie Award for Communications or PR Campaign of the Year – Events and Observances. The sea festival took place in Thanh Hoa province on April 21. It impressed both international audience and judges by including 3D mapping, dance and other performances from a number of Vietnamese artists. Born in Hanoi, Hai Yen was 27 years old when she started her own company, Newday Media JSC when. The company was small at first and initially had only one full time member of staff, but has now grown to 30 employees. It has received many certificates of merit from local government for outstanding contributions to tourism, culture and community development. In July last year, Yen was appointed as Leader of Hanoi Young Women Entrepreneurs Club (HYWE). Starting back in 2002, the Stevie Awards are one of the world’s leading prizes to honour active contributions by individuals and businesses to the development of communities, including in the fields of telecom and information technology.
