A total of 107 best photos selected from the Vietnam Heritage Photo Awards are being displayed at an exhibition in Hanoi on November 2. The photos were selected from 4,753 works from 526 photographers who attended the contest on the occasion of 73rd Cultural Heritage Day on November 23, which marks the day President Ho Chi Minh signed Decree 65 on conserving cultural heritage in 1945. This year’s submissions to the contest can be either single images or photo sets. Besides four usual topics including Vietnam’s nature, culture and daily life, this year’s contest had the ao dai and travelling with Vietjet as two additional categories. The event is open to all Vietnamese people and overseas Vietnamese, as well as foreigners living in Vietnam. 100 single images and seven photo sets of 89 photographers are being put on display. The exhibition in Hanoi will be held from November 2 to 11 at Hoan Kiem Lake Cultural Information Centre. An exhibition in HCM City is also being held on November 3 as a part of the Canon Photo Marathon 2018. The contest was organised by Vietnam Heritage Magazine and sponsored by Vietjet Air and Canon.
