Addressing the ceremony, NA Chairwoman Ngan said that Vietnamese ministries and localities have actively responded to the Vietnam Law Day over the past five years, contributing to raising public awareness of law observance and the efficiency of a law-governed State and society. The senior legislator also emphasised the great importance of the building of a socialist law-governed State and the improvement to law building and perfection aligned with law enforcement and legal education. The NA Chairwoman also suggested several measures to promote the practical results of the observance of the Vietnam Law Day, including boosting law building and perfection, concretising the Party’s guidelines into legal regulations and perfecting the socialist-oriented market economy. She also asked for more effective solutions to raise the sense of law observance of the people and to disseminate information on legal regulations. At the ceremony, Deputy PM Truong Hoa Binh granted Certificates of Merit from the Government and the Ministry of Justice to individuals and collectives for their outstanding achievements during the Vietnam Law Day over the past five years.
