The sixth plant built by Phuc Sinh Group nationwide covers 45ha in the first phase and has a capacity to produce 20,000 tons of fresh coffee annually. The construction of the plant was completed after eight months at a cost of more than VND100 billion. This is the first plant with BRC global standard built in Son La province – one of the three largest Arabica coffee plantation areas in the country. Phuc Sinh coffee processing plant will produce and process a variety of coffee products to export to key markets such as the US, Brazil, France, Switzerland and Italy as well as serving customers domestically. Hoang Van Chat, Secretary of Son La provincial Party Committee, said the province has nearly 18,000ha of Arabia coffee and harvests around 60,000 tons coffee beans per year. Although the Phuc Sinh Son La coffee plant processes only 15% of the province’s total coffee output, it will help bring Son La coffee to many new customers in other foreign markets through Phuc Sinh distribution networks and partners. Phuc Sinh Group currently exports around 20,000 tons of coffee with a revenue of US$350 million annually.
