Addressing the opening ceremony, Cao Lai Quang,Chairman of Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association, said the 3-day event provided an opportunity for Vietnamese businesses in the field of water supply, sewerage and wastewater treatment to gain insights into the cutting-edge equipment and technologies from the world’s leadding companies. A series of seminars will take place during the event to help Vietnamese businesses gain experience and knowledge on investment policies, capital mobilization and get up to speed on the most advanced technologies that will help achieve sustainable development. Bui Pham Khanh, Deputy Minister of Construction, highlighted the organization of Vietwater 2018, saying that the event has developed massively over the past ten years and has acted as a bridge to connect local and foreign businesses and allow them to exchange experiences, technologies and seek partners. On display at 500 stalls will be an array of state-of-the-art technologies, products and solutions in the water sector including 13 groups of international stalls from developed nations in the field such as the UK, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Australia, Denmark, the Republic of Korea, Japan, China and Singapore. Additionally, seminars with a mix of both local and foreign experts is planned for with a clear focus on solid waste treatment, Vietnam’s water sector with Industry 4.0 technology and the promotion of gender equality within the water sector. An exhibition on waste treatment technologies and the environment will also be held under the framework of the event.
