A fire engulfed a wooden workshop in Tan Vinh Hiep commune, Tan Uyen town on the morning of November 5, completely destroying the entirety of the 1,000sq.m workshop. Upon receiving the news, fire fighters and eight fire trucks were mobilized to the scene to try and stamp out the blaze. However, the whole property, including a car was burnt to the ground. Many nearby residents had to evacuate their homes. A few days earlier, on October 31, a rubber mattress workshop owned by MTV Tam Tai Ltd Company in Thuan An town was destroyed by a fire. A warehouse covering nearly 300sq.m owned by Phuc Tan Dat Ltd Company in Thu Dau Mot City was also reduced to ash on November 2. All of the fires occurred at workshops which contain flammable materials.
