Fuel prices revised down sharply The Saigon Times Daily A staffer of a gas station in HCMC reﬁlls a motorcycle – PHOTO: THANH HOA HCMC – The ministries of Finance and Industry-Trade today, November 6, decided to adjust fuel prices over a 15-day period, resulting in a price reduction of VND1,082-VND1,138 per liter of fuel. According to calculations by management agencies, the respective global prices of RON92, RON95 gasoline, diesel oil and kerosene fell to US$78.70, US$80.50, US$92.30 and US$92.10 per barrel over the 15-day period prior to November 6. As such, the ministries allow traders to tap the national fuel price stabilization fund, with VND700 for each liter of E5 biofuel, VND91 for each liter of kerosene and VND267 for every kilogram of heavy fuel oil, while RON95 gasoline and diesel oil were not entitled to this fund. Besides this, management agencies also decided to revise down the fuel prices. Accordingly, retail prices of E5 biofuel, RON95-III gasoline and diesel oil are down by VND1,082, VND1,138 and VND67 per liter, respectively. Meanwhile, prices of kerosene and heavy fuel oil remain unchanged. Therefore, E5 biofuel, RON95-III gasoline, diesel oil, kerosene and heavy fuel oil now sell for less than VND19,600, VND21,065, VND18,544, VND17,086 and VND15,694, respectively.
