Phu An hamlet is home to 921 households and 3,725 people with stable income, based mainly in agricultural production and small-scale services. Last year, the locale received investment for implementing the national target programmes on modern rural development, education, healthcare, poverty reduction, rural transportation infrastructure construction, electricity, and water supply, helping to improve locals’ living conditions. Speaking at the festival, which aims to strengthen the great national unity bloc, the Front President said that the organisation of the events in residential areas across the nation for more than a decade has always been effectively deployed by the VFF units at all levels, thus creating a democratic forum for more than 100,000 residential areas across the country. In acknowledgement of the hamlet’s effort in facilitating its socio-economic development and the spirit of solidarity, Man, who is also a Secretary of the Party Central Committee, praised it as Phu An and Phuoc My commune’s strength in helping to maintain social security, promote cultural lifestyle, and maintain good neighbourly relations. He also urged the Front authorities at all levels to continue listening to the people’s opinions and aspirations, while promoting the role of local people in building cultural lifestyle in residential areas for a safe, green and clean living environment in each hamlet and each village. On the occasion, VFF President Man presented gifts to policy families and disadvantaged households in Phu An hamlet.
