The portal is aimed at introducing Vietnam’s tourism sector to domestic and international tourists, helping them enjoy a variety of smart tourism experiences in the Industry 4.0 era. VTV Travel will be developed alongside a VTV Travel app, featuring a portal in both Vietnamese and English and a switchboard 1039 to support customers. VTV Travel, which is slated for launch in December, will provide tourists with images and videos of tourist destinations and information about specialties of each region and locality. In addition, tourists visiting the portal will be offered advice on tourist sites, itineraries, directions and eateries and hotels. The portal is also expected to support visitors in addressing complaints by directly connecting them with the competent agencies, if necessary. In joining the cooperation effort, Viettel will help build and complete the tourism ecosystem with numerous services, apps and functions, such as a payment system, telecom and internet services, to help provide contact information, boost tourism experiences for foreign visitors entering Vietnam and support Vietnamese nationals travelling abroad.
