The Vietnamese fashion market has recently shown signs of thriving with self-confident businesses which are capable enough to build their own brands and compete with international fashion firms. Most Vietnamese businesses hope to develop their brands in the competitive market of Japan. Nguyen Trong Phi, Chairman of the Board of Directors at Giovanni Group, affirmed that Vietnamese businesses are able to produce high quality products competitive with international brands. He believed Giovanni products can meet the taste of Japanese customers and hoped that the Vietnamese Government will devise more support policies to further help Vietnamese fashion brands enter the potential and competitive market. Won-hae Jeong, representing Sejong Collection from the Republic of Korea, said his company supplied raw materials for MCM, J. ESTINA and other high quality brands and he found the quality of Giovanni products can be compared to them. He wished to cooperate with Giovanni in the near future. Fashion World Tokyo is the largest trade show for the fashion industry in Japan, gathering all kinds of fashion wear, bags, shoes, fashion accessories, fashion jewellery, men’s fashion, textile and OEM/ODM products from around the world. The event is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors and business people who come to seek trading opportunities.
