Honda introduces new SUV in Vietnam By Le Hoang Honda Vietnam launches the HR-V in the capital city of Hanoi – PHOTO: PHUONG LINH HCMC – Honda Vietnam Company (HVN) on September 18 debuted its HR-V, a 5-seat SUV, to the local market. The compact car comes with a more economical engine, a fashionable design and a selection of six colors. It is imported from Thailand and available in two grades, L and G. The model has the suggested price of VND786 million for Grade G; VND866 million for Grade L in lunar silver, crystal black or brilliant sporty blue; and VND871 million for Grade L in white orchid or passion red. The new SUV will be officially delivered to Vietnamese customers from October 2018 through Honda Automobile Dealers nationwide. Aiming to offer a new-generation subcompact SUV, the HR-V was developed to open a new market globally, the same as the Civic, Accord and CR-V. Since its initial launch in Japan in 2014, the Honda HR-V has become a popular model in more than 100 countries, with accumulated sales of 1.8 million units as of August.
