Sad news to all Dark Souls invaders out there, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Multiplayer won’t be happening. The next From Software IP won’t feature any kind of online elements and will be a completely single-player experience. From Software’s Yasuhiro Kitao said as part of a roundtable interview at E3 that the game will be different than past Dark Souls titles, who featured the online invasion mechanic. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice multiplayer isn’t a part of the company’s plans but instead they focused on creating the perfect single player experience. He stated: “This title is designed, from the beginning, to be a single-player experience. As a part of that, one of the focuses of the game is, instead of having a choice between various classes from the beginning, you must play as a ninja. As a result, [the team] has really been able to focus in on what those mechanics are and make them as deep as possible.” This isn’t the first time that Kitao rules out the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice multiplayer as he said it during E3 in another interview too.
