(Cinet)- Historical evidence proving Viet Nam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos was exhibited at Quang Tri Province’s Center of Culture and Information on June 11. The exhibition showcases documents, photos and maps gathered from the collections of researchers and scholars from Vietnam and abroad. The exhibition features a number of royal documents from Vietnamese feudal regimes from the 17th to early 20th century. Most notably among them are 95 maps and four atlases published under French rule and the Repulic of Vietnam, which all affirm Vietnam’s sovereignty over Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos. The exhibition also aims to raise public awareness, promote solidarity and encourage the responsibility of Vietnamese nationals in protecting and affirming national territory. The exhibition runs until June 15.
