(Cinet)- The Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) this weekend will come to Vietnam to introduce products and offer support policies for Vietnam travel agencies selling tour to visitors to Hong Kong. Mr. Tran Vinh Loc, Lac Hong Voyage’s Director said, HKTB and Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports and Tourism will meet with management agencies and tourism businesses in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to the introduction of these incentiveson December 08 to 09, 2011. “There will be direct incentives for local businesses, such as financial support allowing them to advertise publicly on the media system,” asserted Loc. Between November, HKTB led a trade tourism delegation to Vietnam to meet with hundreds of local firms. The tourism agency has mapped out the plan to approach the local market within a year, including direct meetings, tour arrangement to Hong Kong for travel and media agencies. Besides, the tourism agency has also planed to cooperate with suppliers of services, airlines and entertainment in Vietnam to provide new products and promotion programs to local travelers. HKTB will establish its representative office in Vietnam at the end of the year, Loc said. In 2010, there were 102,000 Vietnamese visitors to Hong Kong rising to 33.1% over 2009. The strong growth and regularity of domestic tourists to foreign countries which made Vietnam has become the target for mass destination. It is estimated Vietnamese visitors to Hong Kong increase up 7% compared to last year.
